Sioux Falls native Taryn Kloth wins Olympic Beach Volleyball debut
O’Gorman alum & Kristen Nuss lead Team USA to sweep of Canada in pool play Saturday

PARIS, FRANCE (Dakota News Now) - Ten years ago Taryn Kloth was the best volleyball player in South Dakota getting ready to start her senior season at O’Gorman High School.

Today she’s one of the top players in the world making her Olympic Beach Volleyball debut in Paris.

And it was a successful one as the Sioux Falls native and her former LSU teammate Kristen Nuss, representing the United States, took care of the Canadian team via a sweep, 21-17 and 21-14, in their first match in Pool B Play.

Taryn finished with 10 attack points in the match.

Their next match will be on Monday at 3:00 PM CST against Australia.
