Electric ridehail and moped sharing company, Revel, has announced plans to build five fast-charging ‘Superhubs’ in New York City in a bid to build infrastructure for EV’s.
The Superhubs will triple fast-charging access across the city and it is Revel’s goal to “counter what he [founder Frank Reig] called “a classic chicken-and-egg” problem: EV adoption is slowed by the lack of infrastructure, but building that infrastructure is contingent on EV demand.”
Revel has already been successful with its rapid charging network in New York, with drivers of its shared mopeds and ridehail service charging at the rate of 3,000 times per day.
