Reacher Goes Undercover For 8 Episodes of Season 3 Action

AFTER A LITTLE more than a year away, our favorite giant, jacked, genius, kind-hearted, ass-kicking, mystery-solving hero is back for his third go-around. That's right—Prime Video's Reacher, starring Alan Ritchson as the titular character, is finally back for the big man's third adventure.

This time, his story takes a new shape, as Reacher heads undercover to work as hired muscle for a mysterious threat (played by the legendary Anthony Michael Hall) who has his own henchman (Olivier Richters) who somehow manages to make Reacher look small. That's right—Richters, who's previously appeared in Black Widow, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and Borderlands, is 7'2'' and 330 pounds.

If Reacher is enormous, we don't even know the right word to describe Richters's character, Paulie. Massive? Gigantic? Huge? Either way, he's bigger than our man Reacher, and just might be his most formidable threat yet.

Like the first two seasons, Reacher season 3 is based on a book written by author Lee Child. This time, the material comes from Persuader, which was originally published in 2009 and is the seventh book to feature Jack Reacher.

Reacher has become one of Prime Video's most successful shows; clearly the streamer understands how universally entertaining its Dad-core thriller mystery has been, and the fan base it has amassed. And, presumably, that's why the release of season 3 is being slow-played. Season 1 came out as a binge, back in 2022, but ever since the show has been rolling out week by week, letting audiences enjoy the ride with Mr. Reacher for as long as possible.
