(Gray News) – NFL legend Randy Moss is stepping away from his role on ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown” as he battles a health issue.
On Friday, in a post on X, ESPN said Moss is stepping away “for an extended time to focus on a personal health challenge.”
ESPN did not reveal the exact health issue Moss is facing.
Last Sunday, the 47-year-old took to Instagram to announce he is battling “something internal” but did not reveal further details.
On the show, he was seen wearing tinted sunglasses after viewers noticed his eyes appeared yellow.
Moss said he has a great team of doctors and has his family’s support.
He asked his fans to pray for him during this difficult time.
The wide receiver played 14 seasons in the NFL with a handful of teams including the Oakland Raiders, the New England Patriots and the San Francisco 49ers.
