Power Rangers star Jason David Frank dead at 49
Following the tragic news, several of the actor’s former “Power Rangers” co-stars paid tribute to him, including Walter Jones and Blake Foster.

Jason David Frank, who portrayed Tommy Oliver – the original Green and White Ranger – in “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” died in Texas, his rep confirmed to TMZ on Sunday. He was 49.

“Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being,” Justine Hunt said in a statement.

“He loved his family, friends and fans very much. He will truly be missed.”

Sources with direct knowledge told TMZ that Frank’s death was the result of suicide, though an official cause of death has yet to be revealed.

Page Six has reached out to Frank’s rep for additional comment.

Following the tragic news, Frank’s former “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” co-star Walter Jones also released a statement to TMZ.

Jason David Frank has died at the age of 49.

“He was an inspiration to so many people. His presence will be dearly missed. It’s so sad to lose another member of our Ranger family,” said the actor, who played original Black Ranger Zack Taylor in the franchise.

“Jason was one of the biggest pranksters on the show. He had a wild sense of humor,” he continued. “We had our shares of ups and downs but I stayed consistent about being an ear if he needed one. My prayers go out to his family and all that will miss him.”

The actor’s rep confirmed the news on Sunday.

Jones, 51, also posted a photo himself and Frank with fellow original “Power Rangers” co-stars Austin St. John and David Yost, who portrayed Jason Lee Scott and Billy Cranston, respectively.

“Can’t believe it … RIP Jason David Frank????????, “ Jones captioned the pic. “My heart is sad to have lost another member of our special family.

Blake Foster, who starred with Frank in the 1997 flick “Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie,” also took to social media to share a series of snaps with his late co-star and friend.

“Can’t believe this … Cried all night. Heartbroken yet again. Lost my hero, our leader, my friend and an icon. Life really sucks man ???????? #RIPJDF #WhiteRangerForever,” Foster, 37, captioned the post.

The actor is survived by his four children – Jenna, Hunter, Jacob and Skye.
