The 2022 NBA Draft Lottery is upon us, set for Tuesday, May 17 in Chicago.

The lottery odds are set as the Houston Rockets, Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons all share the highest odds to land the No. 1 pick at 14.0 percent.

However, in years past, we've seen teams unexpectedly move up on lottery night. In 2019, the New Orleans Pelicans won the Zion Williamson sweepstakes with just a 6.0 percent chance. Last year, the Toronto Raptors were projected to pick seventh but moved up to No. 4, earning them this season's Rookie of the Year, Scottie Barnes.

2022 NBA Draft Lottery: Odds to win No. 1 pick

The Rockets, Magic and Pistons all have equal odds – at 14.0% – to win the No. 1 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft Lottery.

Last year, the Pistons won the NBA Draft Lottery with a 14.0% chance to land the top pick.

As you would expect, the betting odds to win the 2022 NBA Draft Lottery mirror the actual odds to win the lottery.

The only thing to note is if you wanted to bet on the Pelicans' pick (via the Lakers) or Thunder's pick (via the Clippers) to win the lottery, you would bet on the Lakers (+1200) or Clippers (+4400), respectively.

As of Monday, May 16, FanDuel Sportsbook has Auburn freshman Jabari Smith Jr. as the favorite to go No. 1 overall. The fight for the top pick is considered to be a three-man race between Smith, Gonzaga freshman Chet Holmgren and Duke freshman Paolo Banchero.
