MIAMI — A woman became stuck in a trash chute inside a Brickell condominium Tuesday, according to the city of Miami Fire Rescue Department.
The strange incident happened around 3:30 p.m. at Courvoisier Courts, a 27-story building on the island, according to emergency dispatch calls.
Firefighters arrived at the building just as the woman managed to make it down the chute about 10 floors, said Lt. Pete Sanchez, a fire rescue spokesman.
Paramedics took her to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital with two ankle fractures, Sanchez said. She was in serious, but stable, condition, he said, adding it was not immediately known how she ended up in the chute.
