Ohio State football receiver Jeremiah Smith now has the most prolific game ever recorded by a Buckeyes' true freshman, surpassing Cris Carter's mark.
Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith has broken yet another Buckeyes freshman record.
With his 187 yards today, he has passed the previous single-game mark of 172 set by Cris Carter in a Jan. 1, 1985 Rose Bowl matchup with USC.
Despite Carter's nine-catch, one-touchdown performance, the Buckeyes fell to the No. 18 Trojans that day, 20-17.
