Jared Verse had a powerful quote after Rams' loss to Eagles
Jared Verse is an outspoken player despite only being a rookie. Whether he’s talking trash to opponents on the field, to teammates in practice or to fans before a playoff game, he’s always going to bring the energy and say how he feels.
It’s what makes him such an exciting young player and someone Rams fans have already come to love.
His message after Los Angeles’ crushing playoff loss to the Eagles on Sunday showed maturity and dedication, emblematic of his growth throughout the year. He promises to do everything in his power to get the Rams to the top of the mountain so that they never feel the pain of a playoff loss again.
“I don’t ever want to feel like this again,” he said. “I don’t want my teammates to feel like this again. I (don’t) want to look in their eyes and see anything but pure bliss and pure happiness. And I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure that doesn’t happen again.”
One thing that drew the Rams to Verse in the draft was his work ethic, his passion and his relentless motor. He showed all of those things throughout the season and will now head into Year 2 with even greater aspirations.
The likely Defensive Rookie of the Year was legitimately one of the best defenders in the NFL this season, so it’s exciting to think about where he could be by the end of next season – and in years to come.
