Is Instagram down? How about Facebook? Several reporting outages on apps, websites Thanksgiving
As many want to document the food and fun of Thanksgiving on social media, some Instagram and Facebook users around the world are reporting outages on the networks.
Hashtag #instagramdown was trending on Twitter on Thursday morning and according to the tracking website DownDetector.com, more than 21,000 people have reported outages with the photo sharing site.
Instagram took to Twitter to say it was aware of the issue.
"We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing Facebook’s family of apps, including Instagram. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible. #InstagramDown,"Instagram tweeted.
Around 12:20 p.m., many were reporting Facebook was back up for them but that Instagram still wasn't working.

According toDownDetector's tracking map, Instagram has the most outage reports in central Europe.Facebook outages are mainly acrossthe U.S.
More than 9,000 are reporting outages on Facebook, according toDownDetector.comas of 10:40 a.m. ET.

Costco's website and app also are experiencing problems on Thanksgiving.
