HoYoverse starts pre-installation for its new title Honkai: Star Rail

Honkai: Star Rail, a brand-new space fantasy RPG (role-playing game) from HoYoverse, the makers of Genshin Impact, opened for pre-installation on April 23, according to the Honkai Twitter account. The Rail Unto the Stars, version 1.0 of Honkai: Star Rail, will launch on April 26, 2023, on multiple platforms. The previous installment in the franchise, Honkai Impact 3rd, earned $130 million for HoYoverse last year, according to data from market research firm Appmagic. Honkai: Star Rail uses brand new characters as well as alternate versions of existing characters from Honkai Impact 3rd. The new Honkai title has already attracted 20 million pre-registrations on all platforms, including 10 million global players, according to local media outlet IThome. Global players can download and pre-install the game on PC, Android devices, and Apple iOS devices. A PlayStation version is in development, but no release date has been confirmed.
