CHARLOTTE, N.C. — High Point University sweeps Big South Conference weekly awards as Ella Perna takes home Golfer of the Week and Anna Howerton is named Freshman of the Week as announced by the conference Thursday afternoon.

Ella Perna is awarded Co-golfer of the week with Rylie Kosney of the University of South Carolina Upstate, whom Perna tied with in fourth at the Golfweek Caledonia tournament. After carding 75 in the first, Perna popped off with an amazing second round, carding five birdies to land a new collegiate low of 4-under 67.

Anna Howerton landed a third-place finish at the Golfweek Caledonia Tournament. Howerton shot 69 in the first round with three birdies before scoring 1-over in the second for a 141 total.
