'Giving Tuesday' With Marshall Athletics Scheduled For Today ...

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Athletics welcomes all Herd fans to participate in 'Giving Tuesday' today as we all celebrate being a part of Herd Nation and come together as one to support Marshall Athletics.

One special aspect of 'Giving Tuesday' is the generosity of Steve and Pam Ellis, who have agreed to gift-match the first $25,000 in gifts to help us achieve our goal of $50,000.

"Giving Tuesday is a generosity movement, so give back and help us continue to make an impact here at Marshall," said Christian Spears, Marshall Director of Athletics. "Together, we can do great things for our student-athletes and the community we all serve and support."

By participating, donors are investing in the future of student-athletes by giving those athletes who proudly represent Marshall University the resources necessary to succeed in competition.

Donors who choose to contribute for 'Giving Tuesday' can do so in two ways – by donating to Marshall's Annual Fund or to any sport-specific Championship Fund of their choice.

Any donor who contributes to the annual fund will be put into a drawing to win two (2) courtside seats to a home men's basketball game.

Contributions made on 'Giving Tuesday' go to support many initiatives within Marshall Athletics, including student-athlete scholarships, facility enhancements, equipment upgrades and much more.
