The card was a C-level show with a few bells and whistles to distract from the real story.

There were only two titles on the line, and the Superstars Roman Reigns or The Bloodline were not there. However, the lineup was filled with gimmicks to make up for it.

Although the ingredients were messy, the result was quite notable with some significant moments that will have important consequences for the future.

Let's take a look back at Saturday's events and discuss the most important takeaways.

Liv Morgan is over, but not enough to surpass Ronda Rousey’s star power

The Wells Fargo Center was filled with jeers when Ronda was in control of SmackDown Women's Championship match. As the crowd was behind Liv Morgan right from the beginning, it was a chaotic scene.

Morgan arrived at the match looking like a star. She was dressed in purple-and green ring gear and wore a decorated baseball bat to reflect the theme of the evening. She would have won against any other opponent and retained her title.

She put up a good fight and didn't even properly submit—instead she passed out and the referee called the match—but all the boos didn't prevent a new SmackDown women's champion being crowned.

Morgan's attempt to win the belt in the UFC was unsuccessful. Morgan is now back at the business of business and returns to the original plan.

Rousey seems to be too big a star for WWE to not make him the champion heading into Wrestlemania 39 season. Morgan will need to step back and find a new role as a fan favorite that is no longer in title scene.

Karrion Kross is Back on Track

It was a disaster when Karrion Krosss was first called up to the main roster.

He lost almost everything that made him so interesting in NXT. He lost his debut match, instead of being unbeatable. Instead of making a creepy entrance to the ring, he looked more like a Demolition cosplayer.

It has felt like a new beginning for The Herald of Doomsday since his August return to WWE. This match is the beginning of a new era.

This Karrion Kross is a future main-eventer, with Scarlett at his side, his proper entrance sounding and looking great, and Drew McIntyre's win, this is the Karrion Kruss.

He won the match with Scarlett and some pepper spray, but he took on The Scottish Warrior in an extraordinary way. It might have been over if McIntyre had hit the Claymore. But it's not impossible that Kross would have kicked out.

This level of credibility is what he requires to continue to gain momentum.

This was a major step in the right direction towards reestablishing Kross' status as the NXT champion, a juggernaut.

Bianca Belair has reached the peak of the WWE Women's Division

For years, the WWE women's division has been dominated by the Four Horsewomen. Only a few other Superstars have ever had the chance to see the top echelon.

Even Asuka and Rhea Ripley tend to take a step back from those four, with Ronda Rousey, perhaps, the only exception...until Bianca Belair established her main event status on Saturday night.

The EST of WWE has defeated Sasha Banks at Wrestlemania 37, taken out Becky Lynch at The Show of Shows & SummerSlam this summer, and now has the most significant victory of her career against Bayley.

Bayley failed to win the title despite having Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai as his support. Belair did not need the help of Alexa Bliss and Raquel Rodriguez, Shotzi, or anyone else. She was able to defeat Damage CTRL by herself and keep her title.

Although this win doesn't translate into more than her Royal Rumble or title wins, it does show that despite all odds, the 33-year old has what it takes for her to beat any of her Four Horsewomen. If she hasn’t already, she’s on the same level.

Charlotte Flair is the only remaining member of the quartet Belair will have to face. This sounds like a Wrestlemania title match, if there ever was one.

The Judgment Day is finally coming to an end.

The Judgment Day's mythology is that they are a dark force that "run Monday Night Raw with their anger, evil, and their bark has been worse than their bite.

Recruiting Finn Bálor after he had lost the night previously was a weak move. Excommunicating Edge was a poor play. It made The Rated-R Superstar their archrival. Converting Dominik to Mysterio was more funny than scary.

The Judgment Day has finally shown their sinister side.

They have been ganging up with Edge for years. However, forcing Edge to quit out of a threat that he would lay out Beth Phoenix with a con-chair-to to only to carry it out anyway was the best way to end this match.

Edge's loss is purely technical, so he maintains his credibility. Bálor's win is legitimate, as this was all within the rules. This group should have been clever and devious from the beginning.

This win did more for Bálor and The Judgment Day as a whole than anything since the group's inception. It could be a sign that bigger things are ahead.

The 'White Rabbit'Stole the Show

Bray Wyatt's return will be the main talking point at this event.

All the "White Rabbit” teases of recent weeks pointed to Wyatt as a person of an otherworldly nature. However, you can't guarantee anything in WWE until your own experience.

Matt Riddle was celebrating his victory against Seth Rollins when the lights went out at Wells Fargo Center. Wyatt's rendition "He's Got the Whole World In His Hands" was played, and life-sized Firefly Fun House puppets were seen in the crowd.

When Wyatt appeared from a door, the fans burst into song and blew out the lantern.

WHAT DID WE JUST MENTION?!#ExtremeRules pic.twitter.com/YQ6Cxzk2gS

Wyatt has been through a lot in WWE. He's had to start stories, lead them for months, and then have a poor end. But there's always something about his character.

Maybe now that he's working in Triple H's new creative management, things will finally click and we'll get The Undertaker of our dreams. Let's start with this amazing reintroduction.
