2022 WWE Extreme Rules predictions, card, matches, PPV preview, start time, location, date

On Saturday, WWE Extreme Rules will host a match card that features wild gimmick matches. The women will be the focus of the spotlight, however, as Raw and Smackdown women's titles will be up for grabs in a ladder match and traditional Extreme Rules bout.
Liv Morgan will be taking on Ronda Rousey to defend the SmackDown women’s championship in Extreme Rules. This means there are no rules and that the match can only by pinfall or submission. Bianca Belair will defend Raw's women's title against Damage CTRL lead Bayley in a ladder fight.
Let's take an in-depth look at who our CBS Sports experts believe will win at WWE Extreme Rules. It starts Saturday at 8 p.m. ET from the Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, and streams live on Peacock.
2022 WWE Extreme Rules predictionsSmackDown Women's Championship -- Liv Morgan vs. Ronda Ronda (Extreme Rules Match).
WWE has had a difficult time navigating the pairing of Morgan and Rousey. Despite this fact, WWE has returned to the well once again. Morgan's match against Sonya Deville demonstrated that she can "get extreme", but the Rousey/Morgan dynamic revolves about Rousey’s physical dominance. This dominance led to a bizarre SummerSlam Match in which Rousey "won" as Morgan tapped to an armbar. However, the referee instead counted Rousey’s shoulders down to allow Morgan her title. Morgan should be able to fight back despite the lack of rules. This seems like an excuse to allow Morgan to win and move past Rousey. However, WWE may decide to give the belt back again to Rousey. Pick: Liv Morgan keeps the title -- Brent Brookhouse
After her massive cash-in at Money in the Bank, I would have expected Morgan to run for a longer time. Unfortunately, her reign has not been met with a great response from fans. Although WWE gave her an edge, she has not been able to regain her momentum after SummerSlam. It's time for Morgan to win another title and hand the strap to antihero Rousey. Pick: Ronda Rousey wins the title -- Shakiel Mahjouri
Raw Women's Championship -- Bianca Belair c. vs. Bayley l. (Ladder Match).
Belair is a huge talent and her title reign has not gone unnoticed. Despite this, she is running out of viable opponents. Bayley and Damage CTRL are hot since their return to the main roster. WWE seems to be interested in strong factions at this moment, and adding the Raw title and the tag belts makes Damage CTRL the women’s locker room’s version of The Bloodline. Bayley should definitely come over to this show. Pick: Bayley wins the title -- Brookhouse
It is fine to give Bayley the title and Damage CTRL dominion of the women's roster. Problem is, a dominant faction already exists. The Bloodline has held the lion's share in titles for a while now, and it feels redundant to replicate that experience on the women's side. Bayley's inevitable title victory is likely to be delayed by Damage CTRL. Let Belair continue to roll with it for a little while longer. Pick: Bianca Belair retains the title -- Mahjouri
Matt Riddle vs. Seth Rollins (Fight Pit Match)
Rollins has dominated the rivalry but it seems certain that Riddle will win. Riddle's MMA experience gives them the best chance to win by placing the match in the "Fight Pit". Although Daniel Cormier is not expected to be a special guest referee, it could set up for a Brock Lesnar fight. Riddle should win this fun match. Pick: Matt Riddle wins -- Brookhouse (also Mahjouri)
Edge vs. Finn Balor ("I Quit" Match)
Balor is another star who deserves better treatment in a creative setting led by Triple H. The Judgement Day is in desperate need of momentum. They have already lost to Edge at Clash at the Castle and Rey Mysterio at Clash at the Castle. Balor should win by some clever means of forcing Edge to resign. Pick: Finn Balor wins -- Mahjouri, also Brookhouse
Karrion Kross and Drew McIntyre (Strap match)
Since August's surprise debuts of Scarlet and Kross, WWE has done an amazing job of portraying Kross to be a real threat. McIntyre doesn't need this win as much as Kross does. It's a chance to inject a new face into a main-event scene that is still healing under Triple H's watch. McIntyre would have been the first to be tagged by WWE at Clash at the Castle. Kross will likely raise his hand in a tough-hitting match. Pick: Karrion Kross wins -- Mahjouri (also Brookhouse)
The Brawling Brutes vs. Imperium
There is nothing wrong with a wild brawl between two groups of brawlers. Sheamus Gunther and Gunther have already made magic together, and now they will battle with their teams. Imperium could continue to build momentum, as they don’t have a leader as bulletproof as Sheamus. They should win this. Pick: Imperium wins -- Brookhouse (also Mahjouri)
