Chappell Roan nodded to painter Edgar Degas with her look at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles. The singer dug into Jean Paul Gaultier’s archives, selecting a dress from his spring 2003 couture collection.

Roan’s colorful frock featured a tulle skirt printed with Degas’ signature ballerinas. The Impressionist artist was known for his works depicting dancers.

The “Good Luck, Babe!” artist added on sheer fingerless gloves and a feathered headpiece, completing her look with lace-up boots. Stylist Genesis Webb dressed Roan for the occasion.

Wearing her curly red tresses in a half-updo, Roan’s makeup featured a powdered face, blue and yellow eyeshadow and deep burgundy lip.

In November, the singer made her “Saturday Night Live” debut in a trio of showstopping looks. In promotional videos and photography, Roan modeled a Jazz Age-inspired costume handmade by designer Gunnar Deatherage, a former “Project Runway” contestant.

Her green and teal ensemble featured a matching headpiece, intricate fringe beading and bedazzled dragonfly wing accouterments. Thom Browne also created a pair of custom brogue heels for Roan.

Deatherage revealed that the singer’s outfit took more than 500 hours — and 1,000 crystals — to create. The designer drew upon vintage photographs of performers at the Casino De Paris, a music hall that dates back to the 18th century.

Roan is nominated for six awards, including Record of the Year.

The 67th Grammy Awards, hosted by Trevor Noah at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, celebrated the best in music and raised funds for wildfire relief efforts in California and honoring first responders. Beyoncé led the nominations with a record-breaking 11 nods. Other top nominees included Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Taylor Swift.
