NFL championship round picks: Consider Bills and Eagles this weekend
Lorenzo Reyes is back with his best bet for the AFC and NFC championship games. He also threw in a couple of bonus player prop bets for those interested.
PHILADELPHIA − Eagles starting center Cam Jurgens did not start Sunday because of a back injury, despite being on the game-day roster.
Landon Dickerson moved from left guard to replace him. Dickerson, a center in college, has never started a game at center in his four NFL seasons. Tyler Steen replaced Dickerson at left guard.
Dickerson was seen during warmups taking snaps at center. Jurgens was on the field getting loose, but he didn't take any snaps.
It's likely that Jurgens, who's on the game-day roster, would play only in an emergency.
Jurgens was selected to the Pro Bowl in his first season as the starting center in place of Jason Kelce. Jurgens was drafted in the second round in 2022 to eventually serve as Kelce's successor.
It's not known when Jurgens suffered the injury. He played every offensive snap last Sunday in the Eagles' 28-22 divisional round game against the Rams. But Jurgens did not practice Wednesday and Thursday and was limited on Friday.
