Daytime Emmy Award-winning actor Billy Miller died on Friday, September 15 at the age of 43. His death came just two days before his 44th birthday, which is today. No cause of death has been given.
The Tulsa, Oklahoma born Miller began his career as a model before getting cast in several commercials and nabbing a guest role on CSI: New York in 2006. He got his first big acting break on ABC’s All My Children in 2007, where he starred as Richie Novak for two years. When that job ended, he landed the role of Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless, for which he earned two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series and one for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Miller left the series in 2014 and later moved on to General Hospital, where he was also nominated for his work playing Jason Morgan and Morgan’s twin, Drew Cain. Miller remained at General Hospital until 2019.
In addition to his work on daytime television. Miller also made appearances on shows like CSI: NY, Suits, and Ray Donovan. Most recently, he starred opposite Lizzy Caplan in the Apple TV+ series Truth Be Told.
Miller’s passing is one of many in the world of daytime television this year. This summer alone marked the passing of Days of Our Lives veteran Arleen Sorkin, All My Children‘s Nancy Frangione, and The Young and the Restless actress Sharon Farrell.
