Eleven days ago the Los Angeles Lakers "warned" the NBA of their impending greatness in a tweet after whipping the Warriors in their first preseason game.
The Lakers better deliver on that statement because no one is going to let them forget it if they don't.
Especially not the Sacramento Kings. The Kings mocked L.A.'s hubris Wednesday night by posting their own "Consider this a warning" tweet boasting of Sacramento's 124-110 win over Melbourne United. But instead of the NBA, it was directed at Australia's NBLwhere, among others, ex-Warrior Andrew Bogut now plays.

Of course, when you're a perennial lottery team like the Kings, even clever digs at the Lakers by the snarky team social media account won't appease your long-suffering fans.
Simon Meehan replied to the tweet, "You showed them. Kings rosters $110,000,000. United roster $1,100,000. $109mil gets you a 14point win."

Gone Dark said the warning really was "...about our defense. Giving up 110 to a non-NBA team."
But the best burn came from Bruce Mochi, who wrote:
"Di(d) you guys finally get relegated? Can we start doing that?"

If the Lakers noticed the Kings tweet, they didn't bother to respond. They were busy crushing a clearly outmatched, Steph Curry-less Warriors team Wednesday. Quinn Cook racked 16 points to show the Dubs how wise they were in letting him go.
Good thing it's only preseason, right?
Did you guys finally get relegated? Can we start doing that?
