  • The lineup averages 26.6 years of age and 63 caps per player.
  • Seven players in this starting lineup started against Mexico on Feb. 26 in Carson, Calif. in the Concacaf W Gold Cup group stage finale: Naeher, Fox, Horan, Coffey, Lavelle, Smith and Rodman.
  • Goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher will captain the U.S. for the second time in her career as she makes her 105th international appearance. Naeher, who will be making her first appearance for the USWNT since her heroic showing in the 2024 SheBelieves Cup final, will be honored prior to the match for her 100th cap, which she earned on March 3 in the quarterfinal of the Concacaf W Gold Cup against Colombia. The Connecticut native will be heading to her third Olympics and sixth consecutive world championship with the USWNT.
  • Emily Fox will earn her 50th cap for the USWNT as she makes her eighth start of 2024. Fox, who ranks third on the team in total minutes played this year, is the 67th player in USWNT history to reach 50 caps. At 26 years, 5 days old, she is the second-youngest defender to reach 50 caps in the last decade, trailing only Tierna Davidson.
  • Reigning U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year Naomi Girma will earn her 33rd cap as she makes her seventh appearance, all of them starts, for the USWNT this year. Girma is one of nine first-time Olympians on this roster and heads to her second world championship event following a breakout performance at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
  • Trinity Rodman is set to earn her 39th cap as she makes her eighth start and 11th appearance overall for the USWNT in 2024. Rodman, who will be making her 29th consecutive appearance for the USA – the longest streak by any USWNT player since 2020, is tied for the team lead with three assists this year and tallied an assist on Sophia Smith’s goal against Korea Republic her last time out.
  • Mallory Swanson, who enters the international window having scored in each of her last four games for the Chicago Red Stars, will make her third start and fifth appearance for the USWNT in 2024 as she earns her 93rd cap. Swanson has scored in each of her last three matches with the USWNT at Red Bull Arena, including the game-winning goal against Germany in November 2022, which marked the start of a remarkable six-game scoring streak. She has three goals in five career matches against Mexico, finding the back of the net in three of her last four outings against La Tri.
  • Lindsey Horan will make her team-leading 10th start of 2024 as she earns her 149th cap for the USWNT. The most-capped player on the 2024 U.S. Olympic Women’s Soccer Team and a three-time Olympian, Horan has six goal contributions (two goals, four assists) against Mexico, the most goal contributions against any opponent in her USWNT career.
  • Sophia Smith will make her 49th international appearance as she makes her fifth start – and 11th appearance overall – for the USWNT this year. The reigning NWSL Golden Boot winner, Smith has a goal contribution in each of her last three games for the USWNT, tied for the longest such streak of her international career. She has three goals and one assist in the last three outings and has four goals total on the year, tied with Lindsey Horan for second on the team.
  • Tierna Davidson will earn her 59th cap as she makes hereighth appearance – all of them starts – of 2024. Davidson had started six consecutive matches – and played all but 30 minutes during that span – before getting a well-deserved rest for the USA’s June 4 match against Korea Republic. While only 25-years-old, Davidson will be heading to her third world championship with the USWNT, helping the USA to bronze at the delayed Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the 2019 World Cup title.
  • The least-capped player on the final Olympic roster, Jenna Nighswonger will earn her 10th cap as she makes her eighth career start and seventh of 2024. The 2023 NWSL Rookie of the Year with NJ/NY Gotham FC, Nighswonger earned her first call-up to the USWNT in November and will be heading to her first world championship.
  • Fresh off earning her 100th cap in Minnesota, Rose Lavelle will make her 101st international appearance and her fifth start of 2024. Lavelle, who is coming off goals in back-to-back games for NJ/NY Gotham FC, is tied for the team lead with three assists this year.
  • Sleepy Hollow, New York native Sam Coffey will make her ninth start of 2024, trailing only Lindsey Horan for the most on the team in 2024. Coffey, who was named to her first world championship roster at any level, is set to earn her 18th cap for the USWNT and make her 11th career start.
