UFC 278 live results -- Kamaru Usman vs. Leon Edwards 2: Updates, highlights, fight card, start time
Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards are two welterweights at the top of their game. Usman is searching for his 20th consecutive win while Edwards is looking to avenge his last defeat when the two first met in 2015. The pair square off once more in the main event of UFC 278, which takes place on Saturday night at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Usman has emerged as arguably the active pound-for-pound best in MMA while simultaneously creeping up on Georges St-Pierre in the conversation for greatest welterweight of all time. Edwards had a much quieter path to the world title, flying under the radar and stitching together a 10-fight undefeated streak that could no longer be denied.
Plus, former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold returns from a three-year layoff to former title challenger Paulo Costa. And Merab Dvalishvili only has nine UFC fights under his belt, but he already ranks ninth in combined UFC takedowns all time. He fights former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo in a featured bout at bantamweight.
CBS Sports will be with you the entire way on Saturday bringing you all the results and highlights from the UFC 278 below. The main card begins at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN+ PPV following preliminary bouts at 8 p.m. ET.
