DOJ suits Ticketmaster to lower ticket prices. Here's what we know.

The Department of Justice is suing Ticketmaster and Live Nation claiming the company has monopolized the live entertainment industry.

The Weeknd’s latest blockbuster concert tour will bring him to Ford Field on May 24, the second night of his just-announced After Hours Til Dawn stadium run with opener Playboy Carti.

The new North American tour reprises the name of his 2022 outing, which featured a massive, hits-filled production that also made its way to Ford Field.

Tickets for the Weeknd’s upcoming tour will go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 7 through Ticketmaster. A presale registration is underway now, with those tickets available from 10 a.m. Wednesday through 9 a.m. Thursday.

Cash App Card users will also have access to early tickets for the Weeknd’s U.S. dates, including Detroit, starting at 10 a.m. Thursday. A dollar from each Cash App seat purchase will go to Los Angeles wildfire relief efforts.

Friday’s tour announcement comes on the heels of the R&B superstar’s sixth studio album, “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” released overnight and featuring guests such as Travis Scott and Lana Del Rey. The release completes an album trilogy that includes 2020’s “After Hours” and 2022’s “Dawn FM.”

“Hurry Up Tomorrow” is also the name of the forthcoming Lionsgate feature film starring the Weeknd, Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. Out May 16, the movie features a score by the Weeknd and Daniel Lopatin.

The 2025 tour, also featuring producer-instrumentalist Mike Dean as a special guest, is scheduled to launch May 9 in Phoenix and wrap up Sept. 3 in San Antonio. The itinerary includes a pair of July dates at the Weeknd’s hometown Rogers Centre in Toronto.

The Weeknd’s May 9 show joins a growing docket of Ford Field concerts this year, including Billy Joel-Stevie Nicks (March 29), AC/DC (April 30), Post Malone-Jelly Roll (May 18) and Kendrick Lamar (June 10).
