Shia LaBeouf Got a Full Chest Tattoo for His Next Role

Say what you will about Shia LaBeouf, but you can never criticize him for not committing to the bit. Take, for example, the preparation he's taken for his next film role in David Ayer's The Tax Collector. Specifically, he's gotten a full chest tattoo.

Speaking about his work with LaBeouf, Ayer had plenty of positive things to say in an interview with Slashfilm. "He's one of the best actors I've worked with, and he's the most committed to body and soul," the director said. "He had a tooth pulled on Fury, and then on Tax Collector, he got his whole chest tattooed. So he kind of goes all in, and I've never known anyone that committed."

The Tax Collector will see LaBeouf play Creeper, an enforcer for a Los Angeles crime lord who collects payments. The film is set for an August 7 release, provided it's not delayed from COVID-19.

For now, check out a trailer below, where you can also get a better look at the pretty intense chest tattoo.

Shia LaBeouf's dedication to his craft is not only evidenced in his acting, but also in his physical transformations. In preparation for his character Creeper in The Tax Collector, LaBeouf rejected only the mindset. He also got his full chest tattooed and halfway to his teeth for the part.

This kind of commitment hasn't escaped directorDavid Ayer's notice. Ayer said, "He's one of the best actors I've worked with and he's the most dedicated to what he does. He got a tooth pulled just to play one of the guys in Fury, and then on Tax Collector, whole chest tattoo. He goes all-in, yeah, and I don't even know anybody as" committed."

The intense chest tattoo adds an extra layer of authentic flavor to LaBeouf's portrayal of Creeper, a gang member from Los Angeles. Fans and industry insiders alike are eagerly anticipating LaBeouf's shape-shifting portrayal when The Tax Collector makes its debut on August 7 in theaters, barring any further delays due to COVID-19.

LaBeouf's dedication is not just physical; he throws himself into acting, expressing his passion and making an impact on the audience through his powerful performances.
