Today, Foo Fighters made their epic return. Along with the announcement of their 11th studio album, But Here We Are, their follow-up to 2021’s Medicine at Midnight and first release since the passing of their longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins, they also dropped the moving single “Rescued.”

Despite beginning with a simple guitar line, the song quickly gains momentum. As always, Dave Grohl’s vocals absolutely rip, but there’s a ton of emotion behind them as he sings, “It came in a flash/It came out of nowhere/It happened so fast” in its opening verse.
