Pat McAfee picks Oklahoma State to upset No. 23 Iowa State because he’s American
McAfee says he’ll "never, ever, in the history of my life, bet against that mullet."
Former Colts punter and holder extraordinaire Pat McAfee is For The Brand — the Cowboy brand that is.
McAfee, who served as the celebrity guest picker on ESPN’s “College GameDay” at South Dakota State in place of his former NFL teammate and SDSU kicker Adam Vinatieri, picked Oklahoma State to upset No. 23 Iowa State on Saturday.
“Everyone likes the Cyclones,” McAfee said. “Great coach, great quarterback, but I will never, ever, in the history of my life, bet against that mullet.
“Oklahoma State gets the win here because I’m an American.”
ESPN panelists Desmond Howard, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit all picked the Cyclones to beat the Cowboys because they are not Americans.
