Why Georgia can cover

The Bulldogs don't lose very often with Stetson Bennett under center. The senior quarterback has posted a 26-3 record as the team's starter over four seasons, completing 64.3% of his pass attempts for 7,452 yards with 55 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. Bennett has thrown for a career-high 3,151 yards this year and needs 280 to overtake Matthew Stafford (7,731) for fifth place on Georgia's all-time list.

Bennett, who is tied for second on the team with seven rushing touchdowns, has 16 TD passes this campaign -- including two or more in five of his last six contests. Two of his favorite targets have been sophomores Brock Bowers and Ladd McConkey, who share the team lead with 46 receptions apiece. A tight end, Bowers has recorded 645 receiving yards and a club-high five touchdown catches while wideout McConkey has registered 606 and four, respectively.

Why LSU can cover

The Tigers lost their first game against a ranked team this season, falling 40-13 against then-No. 8 Tennessee, but have won their last two as they routed then-No. 7 Ole Miss 45-20 on Oct. 22 and edged then-No. 6 Alabama 32-21 in overtime two weeks later. Jayden Daniels recorded the first of his two 300-yard passing performances against the Volunteers and was a dual threat in the two victories. The junior quarterback threw for 248 yards and two touchdowns while running for 121 yards and three scores versus the Rebels before making two TD passes and rushing for 95 yards and the decisive touchdown against the Crimson Tide.

Daniels is the Tigers top rusher as he leads the team in both yardage (824) and TDs (11). His favorite target in the passing game is sophomore wide receiver Malik Nabers, who has hauled in 58 passes for 726 yards and a score. Senior Jaray Jenkins tops LSU with five touchdown receptions while sophomore Brian Thomas Jr. has made four.
