Scores of hippopotamuses are thriving in Colombia’s lakes and rivers, an invasive species that environmentalists say is driving away other wildlife and endangering people in the area. Now, the Colombian government is pushing efforts to drive down the population. Reporter Austin Landis went to meet the team in charge in the area around Doradal, 170 kilometers from Medellín.
