'Oh, For F**k's Sake': Bill Maher and Megyn Kelly Get in Heated ...

Bill Maher and Megyn Kelly held nothing back in a new sit-down where they touched on everything from Donald Trump to Hunter Biden to Hillary Clinton.
Maher joined Kelly on her SiriusXM show on Tuesday, and a line first appeared to be drawn in the sand when the subject of Hunter Biden and his infamous laptop came up. Maher was theorizing about the potential dangers of a second Trump term and the fact that he continues to insist the 2020 presidential election was stolen when Kelly suggested 2020 may have not been “fair” rather than fraudulent.
She cited the New York Post story on Biden’s laptop, published shortly before the election, being “suppressed” on Twitter. The contents of the laptop were later confirmed by other outlets. The content highlighted Biden’s drug addiction and a number of emails and conversations have sparked House Republicans to accuse the president’s son of corruption, something he’s vehemently denied.
Maher scoffed at Kelly even mentioning the laptop, which had previously been abandoned by Biden before the Post obtained it.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake. Really? Then we’re not as alike as you think,” Maher told Kelly.
“Okay,” she said.
“That’s a stupid non-story,” Maher said.
“Says who? There are polls that shows some 10-12% of the electorate would have changed their mind had they seen it, had they known about it,” Kelly shot back.
“It wasn’t right to suppress it, but nobody gives a fuck about Hunter Biden’s dick,” Maher argued.
Kelly argued it was the possibility of “corruption” that could have swayed voters. Maher pushed back, saying his points about the danger of Trump far outweighs any concerns about Biden, especially his election denialism.
“You’re not going to get me to say it was a great way, the way Trump behaved,” Kelly said.
“I don’t have to get you to agree or disagree. You’re obviously someone who looks at a mouse and an elephant and cannot tell which one is bigger,” Maher said.
Kelly called the assessment “projection,” to which Maher replied, “That’s how I see you.”
As the two continued sparring on Trump’s claims of election fraud, the two clashed again on Hillary Clinton and comments she made about the 2016 presidential election. In 2019, she referred to Trump as an “illegitimate president” years after conceding her loss.
Maher objected after Kelly referred to Clinton as an “election denier.”
“She absolutely was the OG election denier,” Kelly declared.
“First of all, she came out before the sun had risen to concede the election to Trump,” Maher said.
“And then spent the next four years saying he was illegitimate, he was an illegitimate president,” Kelly added.
Maher appeared to not know the “illegitimate” quote, but he argued she conceded the election, making the point moot.
“Whether you’re interpreting her disappointment at losing it as the same thing as Trump not conceding it… it’s a tremendous false equivalency,” he said.
Kelly clarified Clinton’s comments are “not the same as what Trump did,” but argued many Democrats have shades of election denialism.
“Don’t try to tell me that Hillary Clinton wasn’t an election denier,” Kelly said. “And Jamie Raskin, and a whole host of Democrats who are now in prominent positions on Capitol Hill.”
In the interview, Maher referred to himself as a voter without a “team” these days.
“I don’t want to be part of a team. I would say I caucus with the Democrats more. I definitely think the right wing is much more dangerous,” he said. “They don’t believe in democracy anymore, and they threw their lot in with a sociopath named Donald Trump.”
