Bill Belichick agrees to coach UNC Football if they accept his 400 ...
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WITN)— Bill Belichick has let UNC know that he will be their next head football coach if they meet his demands in his 400-page “organizational bible” that he is unwilling to negotiate on, Ollie Connolly of The Guardian reported on X.
The school is expected to let him know their decision within the next 24 hours, but there is hesitation from the group of 13 trustees at this moment. He will also need the approval of the athletic director, chancellor, and boosters as well.
In his demands, his son, Stephen Belichick, would be named the school’s head coach in waiting, which the school is reportedly open to.
Financially, it would require a “historic” investment in their football program. That includes minimum salary payouts at each position on his roster, and the school’s cooperation to hire his coaching staff as well as his recruitment staff (which he wants a current college GM to run).
Belichick himself is not sure whether the school will accept it.
