Warriors Fall in Four Sets to Berry

Ana Bastos led all players with 15 kills in what was another dominating performance for the sophomore. Mariana Leite contributed 11 kills in what was a season-high effort for her.
The Warriors led for most of the first set and led by as many as six. But with the score at 19-14 in favor of the hosts, Berry went on a 6-0 run to take a 20-19 lead. It was a lead they would not relinquish for the rest of the set.
The two sides traded points to open the second set. After Berry cut Hendrix's lead to 12-11, the Warriors went on a 5-0 run for a commanding 17-11 lead. Berry fended off three set points, but Camryn Kennedy's kill gave the Warriors the second set to tie the match at 1-1.
But the Vikings were able to see of the two following sets to clinch the match and hand the Warriors their third loss in league play.
Hendrix (8-11, 2-4 SAA) will remain at home and host Oglethorpe tomorrow afternoon at Grove Gymnasium.
