The Many Ways Lynx Celebrated Community for Valentine's Day ...

Did you know the average heart beats two to three billion times in a lifetime? Or that it pumps 7,500 liters of blood per day? And it’s only the size of about two human fists clasped together—the same weight as a can of soda.
CU Denver Future Doctors and the Minority Association of Pre-Health Students gathered their peers in North Classroom to celebrate Valentine’s Day early on Thursday. They competed in a round of heart trivia, enjoyed mochi doughnuts, and the top three competitors took home stuffed animal prizes. If you’re interested in getting involved, the groups are seeking applications for new officers.
And that was just one of several events on campus this week that celebrated community, friendship, and learning. There were therapy dogs that warmed our hearts even though the temperatures were low. And, on Wednesday, CU Denver students took a moment out of their busy schedules to craft cards for the Love for Our Elders Organization. Their handcrafted and heartfelt messages were inspiring!
