Is Lil Uzi Vert's face swollen after getting $24M diamond implant? Rapper mocked for looking like Vision
In one of the more bizarre celebrity body mods recently, rapper Lil Uzi Vert took to Instagram to show off the gigantic, nearly eleven-karat diamond, implanted on his forehead which he bought from high-end jewelry designer Elliot Eliantte. The embedded pink rock that now makes him look like Vision from Marvel's 'Avengers' cost a cool $24 million.
Lil Uzi Vert, whose real name is Symere Bysil Woods, had already tweeted about spending the past five years paying for the natural pink diamond on January 30, while replying to a fan about whether he was still rich after buying his latest accessory. After the forehead piercing, he took to Instgram to post a video of him sporting the diamond with the caption "Beauty is pain".

Later Elliot Eliantte, of Eliantte posted another video of the rapper grooving with the diamond on his head from a bit of a distance. This video showed that the placement might have gone awry with the stone leaning toward the right of his face. When the video was posted, it came to light that all might not be right with the rapper's face implant.
Lil Uzi however was quick to shut down any criticism on Instagram stories. He showed his fans that it was in fact not stuck to his head but could be moved because it hung from a long bar. But the piercing had also made his forehead swell. “Y’all keep talking about it’s off, it still has a long bar in it so it can move ‘cause of the swelling,” he explained. Thankfully, the swelling is not a permanent state of affairs. "When it [the swelling] goes down, it gon’ be right there,” he added.
Lil Uzi gets compared to Avenger's VisionThere were also, understandably, instant comparisons with Avengers' Vision, played by Paul Bettany, who recently appeared on Disney + 'WandaVision' with Elizabeth Olsen. One tweet said: "Why would Lil Uzi pay to make himself look like Vision that motherf**ker ugly". Another tweet commented: "Lil Uzi finna get casted for Wanda vision season 2" to which a user replied, "Imma be Thanos," recreating the iconic scene where Thanos rips out Vision's Infinity Stone from his forehead in Avenger's 'Infinity War'.

In fact, many Twitter users joked about trying to rob Lil Uzi when his security was lax. "Lil uzi really boutta be a victim and put a bounty on his own head," while another tweet remarked: "I hope Lil Uzi Vert has a good security team, can fight or carries a weapon cause this might not end well". Another user, with a more elaborate game plan, tweeted: "2021 Financial Plan - buy front row tickets to a Lil Uzi show. Risk my life to catch him. Rip out his diamond and pay off my debt."

The rapper calmed his worried fans with a tweet about why he had picked his forehead rather than embed the diamond in something more conventional like a ring. "If I lose the ring yeah U will make fun of me more than putting it in my forehead ha ha jokes on you ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... And yes I do have insurance," tweeted the rapper.
