Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix Split After 9 Years Together

Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix have broken up after dating for more than nine years, TMZ reported on Friday, March 3.

The Vanderpump Rules couple was last spotted together on March 1 at TomTom, where the Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras singer was performing.

The split is the latest in a series of break-ups amongst the Vanderpump Rules cast, as James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss ended their engagement in December 2021, and Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz announced their divorce in April 2022.

The news comes as Vanderpump Rules Season 10 is currently airing. Tom and Ariana first confirmed their relationship during the show's Season 2 reunion in 2014. In the years since then, they've bought a house together, became dog parents, and co-wrote a book about cocktail recipes. 

Tom and Ariana have yet to publicly address the split, but the two recently spoke to BravoTV.com about what it’s like to be essentially the last couple standing among the OG Vanderpump Rules couples.

"It’s a lot of pressure," Tom shared with BravoTV.com as part of a Q&A with fans. "But we don’t really think about it like that. People’s relationships are where they need to be. Some have run their course. I don’t really think of it like us outlasting or anything like that."

Ariana also addressed a claim made by Scheana Shay in the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 trailer. She can be seen telling Tom that Katie Maloney said he and Ariana "have an open relationship." 

Responded Ariana, "I don’t know what gives, but we are in a monogamous relationship."

She and Tom then went on to share more about their relationship, including the “key ingredients” that had helped them stay together so long. 

“I would say definitely having a good banter, communication, and taking adventures together,” Tom explained, with Ariana chiming in to say, “I would say being friends first. Because when you’re friends with somebody in addition to being in a relationship with them — or before being in a relationship with them — you really get to know that person on a level that’s not just ‘I think they’re hot. Do they think I’m hot?’ I think that level of connection is really important.”

"I think Tom’s really funny,” Ariana added. “And I like the way he goes full-on with everything he does. Even if Tom’s gonna sing a karaoke song, he’s gonna go full out!"

As for what Tom loves the most about Ariana, he said he likes "how smart" she is. "I often refer to her as my information booth!" he said with a laugh.
