Tina Turner mourns the death of her ‘beloved’ son Ronnie
Tina Turner is mourning the sudden death of her “beloved” son Ronnie at age 62.
“Ronnie, you left the world far too early. In sorrow I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son,” the singer captioned a black-and-white Instagram picture where she had her eyes closed on Friday.
Ronnie died Thursday, Dec. 8. His cause of death is not yet known, but he had suffered from various health issues in recent years, including cancer.
Ronnie’s widow, Afida, posted an emotional tribute to the actor on her Instagram after he died.
“My god Ronnie turner a true angel hiuge [sic] soul highly spiritual my husband my best friend my baby iyour [sic] mummy your nurse i did the best to the end this time i was no [sic] able to save you love u for this 17 years this is very very very bad i am very mad ????,” Afida captioned a carousel of photos of her late husband.
“This is a tragedy u with your brother craig and your father ike turner and aline rest in paradise ????????????????????❤️???????????????? so unfair.”
The pair had no children.
Ronnie’s death followed his oldest brother Craig’s suicide by self-inflicted gun shot wound in 2018 at age 59.

“I still don’t know what took him to the edge because at that stage he had said to me that he had never met a woman that he felt that way about,” Tina said in an interview with the BBC three months later.
“He was bringing her to meet me [for] his birthday in August. He had decorated his apartment that I bought him years ago. He had gotten a new job with a prominent real estate company in California, [which] he was very happy with.”
Tina, 83, said a year later that she believed his suicide was due to loneliness.
“I think Craig was lonely, that’s what I think really got him more than anything else,” she said. “I have pictures all around of him smiling, and I think I’m sensing that he’s in a good place. I really do.”
