RALEIGH, N.C. – For the first time since Nov. 3rd, the Wolfpack Swim & Dive Team returns to the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center as NC State gets set to welcome Texas for a dual meet on Friday, Jan. 26. Doors open at 1 p.m., with diving kicking off the meet at 2 p.m. and swimming at 5:30. The meet will be streamed on ACC Network Extra. Both teams come into the dual ranked with the Wolfpack Men sitting at No. 4 and the Women at No. 8. The Longhorns women are ranked No. 2 in the country, and the men sit at No. 8. This will be the third straight year the Wolfpack and Longhorns meet, with Texas winning the last two meets. NC State returns from Charlottesville with the Wolfpack men sweeping both Virginia and UNC, with the women splitting after defeating UNC and falling to Virginia. The Wolfpack men took down two pool records last time out with a 3:07.89 in the 400-medley relay. Kacper Stokowski led off in 45.92, Sam Hoover split 53.43 on breast, Luke Miller split 45.76 on fly, and Quintin McCarty anchored in 42.78. Then NC State finished the second day with a 1-2 finish in the 400 free relay. Stokowski led off in 44.18; then the Wolfpack got a trio of sub-43 swims from McCarty (42.71), Miller (42.90), and Fox (42.26), a 2:52.05 in total, setting the pool record. Sam Hoover also went sub-43, anchoring NC State's 'B' relay in 42.88. With a first-place finish, a personal best, helping the Wolfpack to two pool records, and a sweep of No. 18 Virginia and UNC, Kacper Stokowski has been named ACC Men's Swimmer of the week, the league announced on Tuesday. Stokowski is the third NC State swimmer to take home a conference award this season, joining Luke Miller and Abby Arens, who also earned the award earlier in the season. Wolfpack fans may notice Bayleigh Cranford missing from the diving portion of the meet. Cranford arrived in Dubai earlier in the week to train for the 2024 World Aquatic championships in Doha in February, where she will be competing for the USA Worlds Team in the mixed 10m synchro.  Cranford took home first place at the Tennessee Diving Invite in the 1 meter with a score of 300.55 earlier in the year. Fans arriving before 5 p.m. must fill out a virtual parking permit. Instructions on how to register for a free parking permit can be found HERE. All patron parking will be in the Coliseum Deck and will begin at noon.
