Taylor Swift halts the 2025 Grammys red carpet

Taylor Swift has finally arrived at the 2025 Grammys. The veteran Grammys winner took 'loving you is red' to a whole different level.

For the second year, host Trevor Noah gave a shout out to Taylor Swift.

"And tonight no matter what happens, history will be made. Some artists like Sabrina Carpenter or Chappell Roan — who I saw over there — may become first-time Grammy winers," the fifth-time host said during the opening monologue. "Others like Taylor Swfit, Andre 3000 and Beyoncé can further cement themselves in Grammys history."

The singer in a sparkling red dress smiled sitting next to "Wicked" actress Cynthia Erivo and producer Jack Antonoff.

"Look at this table, are you kidding me?" Noah said. "Wow, yes, Taylor Swift fresh off the biggest world tour in history, in history people. Not only did Taylor crush the record books, she got more people traveling than those Turkish hair transplants. People were flying everywhere for her, and tonight she is back with another six nominations for the album she announced when she won last year."

Noah was referencing Swift breaking the news during her speech after winning best pop album for "Midnights." The singer let the world know she was dropping her 11th studio album, "The Tortured Poets Department."

"That was like Grammys inception, I like how you did that," Noah joked. "Plus if Taylor wins, she could become the first artist ever to win album of the year five times."

The crowd applauded.

"Which means she would break the record of four wins set all the way back in 2024, set by Taylor Swift," the host said, looking at his palm. "I'm just going to say, Taylor, if you break Taylor's record, you know the Swifties are going to come for you. You don't want to mess with them, man. They're like an army of Kendrick Lamars."

Swift is up for six awards. During the Premiere Ceremony, she lost best music video to Lamar.

Long live the Eras Tour with our enchanting book

In the background of Noah's monologue, Swift grabbed Cynthia Erivo's fingernail like Ariana Grande did during the "Wicked" media tour. The "holding space" moment went viral.

Noah's Swift joke in 2024

Last year, Noah defended the Eras Tour star against the media scrutiny she gets for attending Kansas City Chiefs' games to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

"I think it is so unfair how NFL fans have been complaining about the cameras cutting to Taylor Swift," he said. "Like she's been controlling the cameras at the games. Like just let her live. In fact tonight, on Taylor's behalf I'm going to give her a break. Every time they mention Taylor Swift, I'm going to get revenge. Every time someone says Taylor Swift, I'm going to cut the cameras to someone who played football, that's what I'll do!"
