Philadelphia is back to being a 4.5-point favorite following that field goal. In addition, the Eagles are a -225 moneyline favorite at BetMGM.

Quite the Super Bowl debut for second-year Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton: a fumble recovery for a touchdown and two stops on third down, including one on that last Eagles drive that forced Philly to settle for a field goal.

Officials' mistake in letting that play get off without letting defense substitute and replaying the last play bought Andy Reid time to challenge.

The NFL’s officiating is once again coming into question, as the officials pulled a flag off the field and ended up allowing the Chiefs to challenge a play that they would not have been able to otherwise. If this helps decide the game, it will be a long offseason regarding discussing the state of officiating in the league.

The issues with the field at State Farm Stadium are not new. Michigan and TCU players slipped throughout their College Football Playoff semifinal in December on the field.

With all this turf talk, worth noting Chiefs perhaps having a slight advantage having played here in Week 1. They had all kinds of problems that game, including a Harrison Butker ankle injury that affected him in the first half of the season. They re-sodded, of course, but slips seem to have become commonplace there.

It’s just after halftime and this NFL team shop by the south end zone is nearly picked clean.

The over/under in total points for this game is now pushing toward 70, as it has moved to 65.5 points at BetMGM.

The NFL made a lot of effort to try to get a perfect grass field for this game, but those efforts have gone for naught.

The buildup to the Super Bowl was longer for no one more than those who prepared the field.

Requiring 2 years of preparation, the grass was grown on a local sod farm, installed in January & rolled into the sunshine every morning since.

Andy Reid’s playcalling creativity extends to the ground game as well.

FOX’s Tom Rinaldi says at least six Philadelphia players have changed their cleats, while Erin Andrews reporting that no Kansas City players have changed their cleats.

The Chiefs may have showed their hand regarding their halftime adjustments, as the Patrick Mahomes injury could be part of why Kansas City had six planned rushes versus four planned passes (one of which was a scramble) on that last drive.

The Chiefs march 75 yards in 10 plays to open the second half and cut into the Eagles’ lead on a 1-yard rushing touchdown by Isaiah Pacheco.

No team in the NFL has scored touchdowns on a higher percentage of their third-quarter drives than the Chiefs (34.8%).
