Littles learn about team sports

MT. PLEASANT — Mt. Pleasant Parks and Recreation again offers Intro to Team Sports, a program designed to introduce the youngest athletes-to-be to team sports.

According to Parks and Rec, “This program introduces a variety of sports with fun drills. Participants will learn about a different sport in a non-competitive environment.”

This program hopes to teach children between4-6 years old the skills necessary to play basketball, flag football, hockey, and soccer.

In order to provide this program, Parks and Rec ask parents to consider volunteering to help introduce these sports.

Registration for the program will remain open until Feb. 17. The program will limit the number of participants to 25.

This introduction to team sports program will take place Feb. 27-March 2 from 5:30-6:15 p.m. at the Cottrell Gym.
