Conor McMenamin: NI forward reinstated to squad after being withdrawn for social media video
Conor McMenamin, a member of the Northern Ireland squad, has been reinstated and has travelled with them to Greece for Tuesday's Nations League match. BBC Sport NI understands that
The forward for Glentoran was removed from the panel hours prior to Saturday's home victory over Kosovo. This was done "in light of an historic social media video", according to the Irish FA.
However it is believed that the governing body's discipline committee has reviewed its decision, and McMenamin could play in Athens.
The IFA will confirm Monday morning that the winger who made his senior international debut in June has been reinstated.
McMenamin was the second player to be pulled from the squad within two days of Kilmarnock striker Kyle Lafferty being removed on Friday, following an investigation by his club into an alleged secular remark.
Kilmarnock stated that they had seen footage on Thursday "which appears to show one of our players using language of a sectarian character". The IFA said on Friday that Lafferty's "minor back problem" had also prevented him from training during the week and contributed to his withdraw.
Northern Ireland beat Kosovo 2-1 at Windsor Park on Saturday thanks to two late goals. Manager Ian Baraclough said after the win that although preparations were difficult, the players had rallied well.
Baraclough's team arrived in Athens on Saturday ahead of their final Nations League group B match against Greece on Tuesday evening.
Northern Ireland currently sit third in the table, but they will need to match or beat the result against Kosovo by Cyprus to stay in the third tier.
