It looks like Shannon Beador was “whooping it up” a bit too much last weekend. The Real Housewives of Orange County star was arrested for an alleged hit-and-run, which reportedly resulted from drunk driving.

According to law enforcement sources who spoke to TMZ, Beador drove her car onto a residential property in Newport Beach, California on Saturday night (Sept. 16) — and even clipped the house.

Following the accident, Beador reportedly turned back onto the road, kept driving and eventually parked her car in the middle of the street, before getting out with her dog. While sources claimed Beador — who reportedly appeared “wasted” — tried to play it off as though she was taking a walk, police saw right through the act and took her into custody.

A representative from Newport Beach Police Department told TMZ that Beador was booked on two misdemeanor charges — hit-and-run and DUI alcohol — before getting released without bond. The reality star’s car was also seized by cops to aid in their investigation into the damage done to the home she allegedly hit.

Beador’s arrest comes on the heels of a difficult year for the Bravolebrity, who previously revealed she was “blindsided” by longtime boyfriend John Janssen’s decision to end their relationship back in January. Leading up to the split, the star was also beefing with many of her RHOC co-stars as fans can see on the currently airing season of the Bravo show.

Beador is not the first RHOC star to get arrested for a DUI. In early 2019, Gina Kirschenheiter — with whom she is currently embroiled in a public feud — was put behind bars for driving under the influence.

“I did all the tests, and then he gave me the breathalyzer and it wasn’t registering,” Kirschenheiter emotionally recalled in an episode of RHOC shortly after the incident, per People. “So he arrested me.”

She added, “I’m so bummed that I made such a stupid friggin’ decision to get in the damn car and drive that night. I wanted to go home. I got in the car, I should never have driven. … It’s my worst defining moment, ever.”

Decider has reached out to reps from Beador for comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.
