Rapid Reaction Tough Day On Offense And Trouble Stopping
Takeaways from the Seahawks’ Week 9 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
1. It was a very tough day for the Seahawks offense.

Facing a top defense from the AFC North a week ago, the Seahawks scored 17 first-half points, struggled for a while, then put together the game-winning drive to cap off what was an up-and-down, yet still productive day against Cleveland.

A week later another great AFC North defense, however, the Seahawks started slow and never got going as the Ravens made life very difficult for Geno Smith and the entire offense. Seattle went three-and-out to open the game, the first of three straight drives to end in a punt, a streak that was broken by a Geno Smith interception.

A 50-yard completion to DK Metcalf late in the first half set up a field goal, but that was about the extent of the damage Seattle's offense could do, as the Ravens were equally stingy against the run and the pass, all game long, limiting Seattle to three points, 151 yards and a one for 12 conversion rate on third down.
