Rachel McAdams kept it real and showed her underarm hair for her new magazine feature.

In Bustle's latest digital magazine's cover story, the "Mean Girls" and "The Notebook" star can be seen in a black outfit, splayed out on a red couch, with her underarm hair on clear display.

In another photo, the hair peeks out as she bends her arm by her side while standing in a sleeveless white dress.

“It’s OK to look your best and work at it and be healthy, but that’s different for everyone," she told the magazine.

“With this shoot, I’m wearing latex underwear. But I’ve had two children. This is my body, and I think that's so important to reflect back out to the world,” she added.

Rachel's partner is screenwriter Jamie Linden. The couple, who have a son and a daughter, have not revealed their children's names publicly.

People magazine also reported that Rachel's photos are only minimally retouched.

In the Bustle article, Rachel talked about taking a break from acting.

She said it “really helped me feel empowered. It helped me feel like I was taking back some control. And I think it sort of allowed me to come in from a different doorway.”

“I guess I always had a sense that it would be OK; either it’s going to work out or it’s not,” she added.

The Oscar-nominated actress has turned down roles in films like "The Devil Wears Prada" in what would be Anne Hathaway's role as Andy Sachs, and Scarlett Johansson's eventual role as Black Widow in "Iron Man."

“I felt guilty for not capitalizing on the opportunity that I was being given, because I knew I was in such a lucky spot. But I also knew it wasn't quite jiving with my personality and what I needed to stay sane,” Rachel said.

“There were definitely some anxious moments of wondering if I was just throwing it all away, and why was I doing that? It’s taken years to understand what I intuitively was doing,” she added.

Rachel’s sister and longtime makeup artist Kayleen McAdams also talked to the digital magazine and said, “[Rachel is] very confident in what she believes and being able to align with her inner compass.”

“There can be moments when you do things that you might not be ready for. You take a job that isn’t exactly right for you because you’re feeling those external pressures. Rachel has such a strong internal sense of self and a really strong belief that the world will work out as it should,” Kayleen added.

One advice she'd give her younger self is: "Normal is boring. I know all you want to do is be like everybody else, but it's pretty much impossible. Yourself — just, like, embrace it. What makes you different is what makes you best."

Rachel can next be seen in the upcoming movie, "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret," which is based on the popular book by Judy Blume.

What about "Mean Girls"? The hit movie was turned into a musical, and the musical is now being adapted into a film.

“I don’t see a way to shoehorn us in,” Rachel said, adding, “if Tina [Fey] can figure it out, I’m there, for sure.”
