All GPIWA service areas under boil water notice

The Greater Pine Island Water Association announced that all its service areas are subject to a boil water notice.

Pine Island north of Pine Island Road will have 24-hour water service. Bokeelia and Bokeelia will also be covered by this service. There may be intermittent interruptions for watermain break repairs. Pine Island south of Pine Island Road will have water distributed from noon to 4 pm.

Matalcha Isles and Saddlewood Farms, Cape Coral Country Club, Cape Royal, and Cape Royal will have 24-hour service. There will be intermittent disruptions for repairs to watermains.

There is currently no timeline for Matlacha's return to water service.
