While snow is unlikely in the forecast, temperatures are expected to be in the low 20s to high 30s Saturday inside Beaver Stadium when the No. 6-seeded Nittany Lions and No. 11-seeded Mustangs square off. The winner of Saturday's game will advance to the Fiesta Bowl vs. No. 3 seed Boise State on New Year's Eve.
Saturday's temperatures in State College could be a real home-field advantage for the Nittany Lions, considering SMU is accustomed to playing in the south's warmer climates.
