David Dobrik Finally Reveals If He Rejected Madison Beer

In the past, fans have accused David of rejecting Madison — David even joked to Entertainment Tonight in May 2020 that the duo was dating, quickly following up with, "I'm just kidding, we're not." But now, David is here to set the record straight.

Both David and Madison shared how tons of the replies on anything they post on social media [are] about how David "rejected" Madison.

"And the better you look in the Instagram post, the more comments... It's like, 'This is the girl who David rejected," David said, while Madison laughed and agreed it was insane.

Jason then pointed out how the rejection comment was the best joke made during the Vlog Squad's roast back in November 2020. Vlog Squad member Jeff Wittek said, "We all know you guys [David and fellow Vlog Squad member, Joe Vulpis ] are gay; there's nothing wrong with it. There's no way Madison Beer is not your 'type,' David."

After the roast happened, Madison apparently texted David and jokingly asked, "Oh, so I'm not your type?"

Then, Madison went in for the heavy hitter. "So, have you ever rejected me?" she asked David point-blank. He denied it, and then Madison thanked him.

But how did this rumor even originate? The group thought it happened after Jash said on a podcast he didn't know why David and Madison didn't just date. Madison then said she was "much more like, 'Yeah, I love him,'" while David allegedly said no.

In a plot twist, David then said he's "always been down" to date Madison, and then the group laughed awkwardly.

David then followed up with, "I never rejected you. We just never dated. That's it. That's the only story." And there you have it!
