Machine Gun Kelly Brings Pop-Punk Performance To Times Square During ‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ 2021
Machine Gun Kelly brought pop-punk into the mainstream spotlight with his performance of “My Ex’s Best Friend” and “Bloody Valentine” during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.
On Thursday (Dec. 31), the Cleveland, Ohio native gave a stunning showcase of his music, live from New York City’s iconic Times Square. MGK taking the stage with a brand new mohawk haircut, donned in a hot pink puffer jacket and studded hot pink denim jeans, the singer rocked the stage putting pop-punk on the forefront.
“10 years ago we set up a boombox in Times Square and I rapped to anyone that would stop and listen,” the “Bloody Valentine” singer said on Twitter before his performance. “This is the most surreal feeling ever that we’re performing on TV for the NYE ball drop in that same spot.”
