New 'Lord Of The Rings' Movie Set For 2026 Release #Shorts

Warner Bros. is set to release a new installment of 'The Lord of The Rings' series, 'The Hunt For Gollum' in 2026. The original 'The Lord Of The Rings' trilogy director Peter Jackson will produce the film along with Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens. The writers are in the early stages of script development and are looking to "explore storylines yet to be told." The film will be directed by and star Andy Serkis, who is known for his role as Gollum. The original trilogy grossed close to $3 billion internationally, and the recent 'The Hobbit' trilogy did similar numbers. "Yesssss, Precious...The time has come once more to venture into the unknown with my dear friends," said Serkis.
