National Doughnut Day 2021 includes freebies from Dunkin’, Duck Donuts and Krispy Kreme
Friday, June 4, is National Doughnut Day and you can score free treats and special deals at Dunkin’, Duck Donuts and Krispy Kreme.
National Doughnut Day was started in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to honor women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I, according to Dunkin’. It is traditionally celebrated on the first Friday of June.
Here are the places where you can get free doughnuts:
All Duck Donuts locations, including Mechanicsburg, Lancaster and Hershey, will celebrate the holiday by giving every customer a free bare, cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar doughnut. No purchase is necessary.
Customers at Dunkin’ can get a free classic doughnut of their choice on June 4 with the purchase of any beverage. Classic doughnuts include Boston Kreme, Glazed, Glazed Chocolate, Jelly Filled and more.
Customers who want to wear their love for Dunkin’ will find a #NationalDonutDay limited-edition customizable fashion include sweatshirts, T-shirts and tote bags at shopdunkin.com.
At Krispy Kreme on June 4, customers who are vaccinated can get two free doughnuts - one for the holiday and one for receiving at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccination.
On March 22, Krispy Kreme had announced it would give anyone who was vaccinated a free doughnut - every day if they wanted. That free doughnut offer is good through the end of the year. Krispy Kreme said it has already given away more than 1.5 million Original Glazed doughnuts through that offer.
Then if two free doughnuts aren’t enough, customers can get a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for $1 with the purchase of another dozen.
“On National Doughnut Day, stop by and enjoy any doughnut you want on us. And if you’re helping us get past this pandemic by getting your COVID-19 vaccine, then THANK YOU and have a second doughnut on us,” said Dave Skena, chief marketing officer for Krispy Kreme.
