Kate Middleton Made a Gorgeous Post-Pregnancy Debut at the Royal Wedding

Now that we finally caught a glimpse of Meghan Markle's wedding dress, it's time to talk about her sister-in-law's look.

Unlike Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge didn't have a specific role in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in England (besides moral support, of course). She looked on as Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte stood beside the bride and groom as the best man, page boy, and flower girl, respectively.

As if she's not beautiful enough already, it's also important to note that she gave birth to Prince Louis less than one month ago. Yep, one month.

 

The Duchess of Cambridge arrived at St. George's Chapel wearing a pale yellow dress designed by Alexander McQueen, the designer who created her iconic wedding dress in 2011. She paired it with Jimmy Choo shoes and a stunning Philip Treacy hat.

The best part: This is Kate's third time wearing this dress. She also wore it for Charlotte's christening and the Queen's birthday.

 

Everyone agrees that the Duchess looked stunning but people thought it was a little odd that she wore off-white because well, that's typically reserved for the bride.

Today's choice is very different from her modest Alexander McQueen dress that she wore at her sister's wedding last May. But at both weddings, Kate went for muted tones.

 

"Yellow shades are linked to the sun, which indicate that someone is feeling bright and cheery,"Dr. Sally Augustin, environmental/ design psychologist and principal of Design with Science told GoodHousekeeping.com. But that's not all: Less saturated colors, like blush and cream, don't take the attention away from the event (a.k.a. Meghan Markle).
