Kansas ties it up

Another amazing connection between Jason Bean, the Jayhawks' quarterback, and Quentin Skinner, the Jayhawks' wide receiver, resulted in another touchdown. This 29-yard touchdown was also reviewed. With 4:21 remaining in the fourth quarter, Kansas and TCU have tied the game at 31-31.

It was the culmination of a drive that went 50 miles in five plays and took 1 minute 27 seconds. The Horned Frogs were able to score an additional point and went up 31-24.

Kansas ties it up

Jayhawks quarterback Jason Bean connected with wide receiver Quentin Skinner for a 38 yard touchdown pass. Skinner's catch was a great catch that stood up after a review. The drive went 72 yards in four plays and included a great catch from Lawrence Arnold, wide receiver, on a 26 yard gain. It took 2:05 to complete. After the extra point, it's now 24-24 with 1:50 remaining in the third quarter.

TCU is back in the lead

The Jayhawks were made to pay by the Horned Frogs, who drove for a touchdown. The drive took just one minute and went 26 yards in five plays. TCU is now up 24-17 after Max Duggan, the Quarterback, ran the ball in his own direction from three yards. There are 3:59 remaining in the third quarter.

Jason Bean throws an intercept

Jason Bean's play as the Jayhawks' quarterback took a hit when he threw an intercept that gave TCU great field position. The Horned Frogs have about five minutes left in the third quarter and are poised to take the lead. It's 17-17 at the moment.

TCU tied the score

Kansas didn't hold the lead for long as TCU took a four-play drive that went just 1:03. TCU gained 61 yards in just one play. The game was capped off by Max Duggan, the Quarterback, finding Derius Davis with a 51-yard touchdown pass. With 6:29 remaining in the third quarter, it's a 17-17 score after the extra point.

Kansas is the leader

Jalon Daniels is seen in street clothes on the sidelines. He's unlikely to return to the game. His right arm is in a sling.

After the turnover, Jason Bean led Kansas to another touchdown drive at quarterback. The drive went 40 yards in five plays, and took 2:06 from the clock. With 7:36 remaining in the third quarter, Bean completed a touchdown pass to Luke Grimm for eight yards.

TCU throws the ball away

TCU lost the ball on its next drive after the sides had exchanged stops. A completed pass from quarterback Max Duggan to wide receiver Geor’quarius Spivey looked as if it would get the Horned Frogs a good gain, but Kansas safety Kenny Logan Jr. forced and recovered a fumble to get the Jayhawks the ball back. With 9:42 remaining in the third quarter, Kansas took control at the TCU 40 yard mark.

Kansas tied the score

Jayhawks quarterback Jason Bean will start the second half. Daniels could be out for the rest of the game due to injury. So far, Kansas is doing well. Bean just led a scoring drive of 75 yards in four plays, took 2:01 off the clock, and culminated with a touchdown pass to Mason Fairchild (12 yards).

With 12:59 remaining in the third quarter, Kansas and TCU have tied the score at 10-10 after the extra point.

HALFTIME: TCU 10, Kansas 3

TCU quarterback Max Duggan throws a deep ball towards the end of the first half. Kansas safety O.J. intercepts it. Burroughs. After the turnover, Jason Bean was brought in as the Jayhawks' quarterback to take a knee. The game was now in halftime.

Kansas scores a field goal

After a 40-yard field kick by Jacob Borcila, the Jayhawks are now on the scoreboard. This was the end of an eight-play drive that lasted 53 yards and took 2 minutes 50 seconds. TCU led 10-3 with 0:36 remaining in the second quarter.

The Jayhawks may have suffered a loss of quarterback Jalon Daniss during this drive. He was injured by a hit he took on the sideline right before the field goal attempt. After that, he was taken to the injury tent and checked out before going into the locker room.

TCU extends its lead

The Horned Frogs did not waste their chance and capitalized on a turnover to score a touchdown drive. The clock was 2:36. A nine-play, 99-yard drive ended with Kendre Miller's one-yard touchdown run. TCU leads 10-0 with 3:26 remaining in the second quarter.

One thing to keep an eye on moving forward is that Horned Frogs wide receiver Quentin Johnston already has 139 receiving yards on eight catches. With the help of quarterback Max Duggan, he's been reorganizing the Jayhawks' secondary. Kansas will have to do something to slow Johnston down, perhaps even double it.

Jayhawks throw the ball away

Kansas was poised to score after forcing another TCU punt. With a pass from Jalon Daniels, Mason Fairchild, a tight end, made a great catch that gave Kansas a 48 yard gain. Daniels lost the ball just outside the end zone and fumbled it away.

TCU took control at its 1 yard line with 6 minutes left in the second quarter and was still leading 3-0.

Kansas drive ends with a failed fourth-down conversion

The Jayhawks drove into Horned Frogs territory after TCU and Kansas traded punts. It was undoubtedly the best Kansas drive to date, with the Jayhawks getting lucky when Ky Thomas's fumble was recovered by Kansas. The Jayhawks lost the ball on downs on 4th and 5, at the 32-yard line.

TCU leads 3-0 with 10 minutes remaining in the second quarter.

END 1Q: TCU 3, Kansas 0 Jayhawks come up with big stop defensively

TCU drove into Kansas territory once again. The Horned Frogs appeared to be on another scoring drive. But on 4th-and-short, just inside the 40 yard line, a TCU run didn't get enough and Kansas will take over with 3:59 left in the first quarter with the score still at 3-0 — in favor of TCU.

Max Duggan is a good quarterback for the Horned Frogs. He's been difficult to bring down. TCU has not yet seen touchdown drives.

Kansas punts on its first drive

The Jayhawks were unable to respond to the Horned Frogs' scoring drive and ended up punting the ball away at midfield. Quarterback Jalon Daniels tried to take a few shots downfield but couldn't connect to his wide receivers. Kansas showed some signs of potential success with Daniels, but will need to make more plays.

TCU scores with field goal

The Jayhawks were able to drive deep into the territory of the Horned Frogs, but they had to settle for a field goal. The drive took 4:10 off the clock and covered 57 yards in 10 plays. TCU leads 3-0 with the 39 yard field goal. There are 10:46 remaining in the first quarter.

This is the real strength of Kansas' defense. Although teams may gain yards on the Jayhawks' defense, they don't score as many touchdowns. Brian Borland, the defensive coordinator, has referred to this as a confidence booster.

TCU won the coin toss, and chose to accept.
